Isle of Man Classic TT Races Virtual Show and Shine Competition presented by Bennetts

  1. The Promoter is the Department for Enterprise (“the Promoter”), a Department of the Isle of Man Government, whose registered office is at 1st Floor, St Georges Court, Upper Church Street, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 1EX.
  2. The competition is open to open to anyone over the age of 16, except employees of the Motorsport Team, a team of the Department for Enterprise and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  6. Only one entry per category will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person in the same category will be disqualified. Entrants may submit one entry across each category.
  7. Categories are as follows:
    1. Best 2-Stroke. A 2 stroke powered machine, any capacity, any era
    2. Best of British. Any bike originally manufactured in the UK
    3. Best Race Bike. A race bike, either thoroughbred or converted road bike.
    4. Best Classic. Any bike which was manufactured before 31st December 1979
    5. Best Special. Any custom built machine, sidecar, trike, or heavily modified bike
    6. Anything Goes. Any bike that does not fit in the above categories, such as modern sports bike or adventure bikes.
    7. Best in Show. Overall winner chosen from the winners of the above categories.  
  8. The competition will run from 0900hrs on Monday 24th August 2020 to 1800hrs on Sunday 30th August 2020 inclusive. The winner will be announced on Monday 31st August 2020 on the official Isle of Man TT Races website and social media channels.
  9. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  10. Entries must be made via and upon completion and submission of the entry form.
  11. Any machine entered must be owned by the entrant or the entrant must have the express permission of the entrant to submit an entry of their machine. The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of ownership at any time.
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
  13. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  14. The prize for each individual category is a 1 pint tankard engraved with the details of the competition. The prize for the ‘Best in Show’ category is 1 year’s motorcycle insurance [TR1] [SS2] cover provided by Bennetts Motorcycle Services Limited. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  15. The prize of 1 year’s insurance will be in accordance with the standard Terms and Conditions of Bennetts Motorcycle Services Limited which are available here Underwriting criteria will apply. Bennetts will offer the winner free insurance for a year up to the value of £500 when quoted directly with Bennetts. If the policy exceeds this amount, then Bennetts will contribute £500 towards the total cost of the winner’s insurance. If the policy exceeds £500 and the winner choses to pay via monthly instalments, they may need to provide a deposit up front which Bennetts will not contribute to. The winner will be contacted directly by Bennetts within 7 days of confirmation from the Promoter with details of how to claim their prize. The prize must be claimed within 12 months of notification.
  16. A shortlist of up to 12 entries per category will be selected by representatives from the Promoter. Winners will then be chosen by an independent adjudicator appointed by the Promoter. The decision of the Promoter and the appointed adjudicator is final.
  17. The winner will be notified by email within 7 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  18. The Promoter will contact the winner to determine when and where the prize can be delivered.
  19. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  20. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  21. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Isle of Man law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Isle of Man.
  22. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, including the sharing of their entry on the official Isle of Man TT Races Social Media channels. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current IOM data protection legislation.
  23. Upon consent being received by way of tick box on the entry form, entrants details will be passed onto Bennetts Motorcycle Services Limited for the purpose of contacting the entrant in regards to their motorcycle insurance.
