UK rockabilly star, Darrel Higham, is joined by The Enforcers for his 2019 performances and will take to the stage across the weekend of the Classic TT presented by Bennetts.

Deeply passionate about guitar and song writing from an early age, rockabilly maestro Darrel Higham has gone on to build an enviable musical pedigree stretching back to the 1980s.

He remains a leading light within the UK rockabilly scene and, until recently, acted as a musical touchstone for Irish songstress Imelda May with his unmistakable Gretsch-flavoured licks and chord work creating the bedrock for a slew of hits.

It comes as no surprise that Darrel’s first post-Imelda record is one that saw him dive headfirst into the rockabilly that he knows so well, crafting an album of utter authenticity - and one that features the talents of both Jools Holland and Robert Plant.

Indeed, Hell’s Hotel is an album to get any old rocker revving - and was superbly described by Guitar.com as a record that ‘Sounds like it’s been dipped in Pomade and marinated in the exhaust of a 1956 Ford Thunderbird…’

It’s also a record that goes to show that Darrel always keeps things real. Whether fronting his hero Eddie Cochran’s backing band, or sharing the stage with the likes of Paul McCartney and Jeff Beck, Darrel has always been a musician’s musician, constantly displaying a mastery of his art.

You can catch Darrel Higham and the Enforcers performing on Friday 23rd as part of the Paddock Carnival, and on Saturday 24th in between that day’s racing. The Classic TT stage can be found in Nobles’s Park opposite The Trackside, with both venues hosting a whole weekend of special events, live music, chat and big screen action.
